China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (hereinafter referred to as ICIF) is hosted by Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, General Administration of Press and Publication of the People’s Republic of China, Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. It is the only nation-standard, international, comprehensive cultural fair of China.With “exhibition and exchange” as its cores, ICIF makes efforts to establish an exchange platform for Chinese cultural products and projects, promote the development of China cultural industries, and spread Chinese cultural products to the world.
ICIF is the only comprehensive cultural fair in China which has been approved by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).As an important fair which is supported by the government, ICIF was mentioned in the Guidelines of China’s Eleventh Five-Year (2006~2010) Plan for Cultural Development, together with the Olympics 2008 and EXPO 2010.
The 4th ICIF will be held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from May 16th to 19th, 2008.The Summit Forum of China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries will be also held at the same time.As the core forum of ICIF, it will be a high-level international summit forum on the development strategies of the cultural industries.
