In the power transmission and transformation, TBEA has two divisions, Transformer Group and Wire & Cable Group, and possesses the world-class equipment manufacturing and experimental capability. The production capability of the Transformer Group exceeds 100 million kVA, takes a leading position of the world. TBEA can produce 10-1000kV transformers and wire and cable products, taking the leading position in China. On the basis of the national level company technology centers and post-doctorate working stations, TBEA sets up a technology research and development team, which is mainly made up of members of Chinese Academy of Engineering, middle-age and young researchers, and carry out the research on magnetic field and mechanical power, etc.. TBEA masters many world advanced technologies, such as ultra -high voltage power transmission, direct current transmission, the main machines and wires research in the large scale hydropower station, thermal power station and nuclear power station, etc.. TBEA has undertaken many significant national technological improvement programs in the 9th Five Year Plan, the 10th Five Year Plan and the 11th Five Year Plan. TBEA has over 400 intellectual assets and key technological patents.
Within Transformer Group, TBEA has four transformers companies: TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd, TBEA Xinjiang Transformer Company, TBEA Hengyang Transformer Co., Ltd and TBEA Tianjin Transformer Co., Ltd. Within these companies, the first three are manufactures of oiled transformers and TBEA Tianjin Transformer Co., Ltd. is the only manufacturer specialized in manufacturing of epoxy poured dry type transformers and intelligent cabinet transformer stations.
TBEA Tianjin Transformers Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred as the TJTBEA) is located at Tianjin City, the Pear of Bohai Sea. The company has two large manufacturing bases，one in Tianjin and the other in Shenyang and it is the only manufacturer specialized in manufacturing of epoxy poured dry type transformers and intelligent cabinet transformer stations. It is the key enterprise in national mechanical and electrical industry, suggested supplier for national power network construction and renovation，national hydro electrical projects and energy saving products. The “Xing Te” trade mark is first certified famous trademark in China Key Equipment Manufacturing industry. The first company in the field to pass the certification of ISO 9001 international quality control system，to pass individual laboratory test and F1 grading combustibility test is TJTBEA. It has been in line with international standards in respect of quality，safety，management and etc..
TJTBEA has imported international first class technology and process from Portuguese and Germany and at the same time we insist on the principle of self-development. Many advanced technologies and advanced equipment in the industry have been owned by TJTBEA: vacuum pouring equipment and iron core production line imported from Germany，copper foil winding machine and international advanced testing equipment from Italy and Swedish. TJTBEA has also established a first-class R & D center which is capable of testing transformers rated at 1000kV voltage and ultra - capacity transformers as well as designing and manufacturing DC transformers, reactors and special transformers ranged from 20 to 20000kVA and power grading of 35KV and below, its annual output reaching 5,000MVA and its products distributed across China, widely used in many of China’s major engineering projects, such as Three Gorges Project, Transmission of Electricity from West to East, Qinghai -Tibet Railway, Er’tan Hydraulic Power Station, National Model Project of Northwest China 750kV power transmission and transformation, Guizhou-Guangdong DC Power Transmission Project, Longtan Hydraulic Power Project. The products are also exported to many countries and areas.
The product design and development is widely used in the computer analysis technology to comprehensively analyze and calculate the electric field, the magnetic field, the thermal field and the field of force. It has computer assistant design drawing systems, such as three dimensional system and CAD system, etc.. TBEA can meet the customers’ requirements on the rating and the technical parameter and provide various reliable products. As a national enterprise, TJTBEA has been focusing on the development in the fields of cast resin dry-type transformer and cabinet transformers station.
